Are you a community advocate? Have you contemplated running for council in the upcoming municipal elections in October? Free event! Nonpartisan, cause-agnostic information session for prospective candidates. Come learn how a municipal government works, election law basics, the requirements for nomination and holding office, the prerogatives and duties of a council member, and how to campaign as an independent candidate with limited means. Everybody who considers running for office or campaigning for a candidate is welcome!
